Profit sharing concessions

In C2012 we gave profit sharing concessions for pay rates. Yes, permanent profit sharing concessions for temporary pay rates.

Think about this:

We are already losing because of these concessions. We are not currently benefiting from these concessions as our current rates are currently due to a 3B4 increase and not the rates we traded profit sharing for. Our negotiated rates are null and void. The profit sharing concession is already obsolete in our current pay scales, EXCEPT of course we don't get the profit sharing.

Had we not gave away profit sharing, we'd still have our current rates today and the PROFIT SHARING we gave away.

Let's not make this mistake again!

I agree. We gave that profit sharing up for nothing.

Remember...we gave it up for "We'll get 'em next time"

And I hope you all noticed that in the company's section 3 proposal, not only do they want to remove their pay and bonuses prior to our profit sharing PTIX calculations, they also want section 3B4 to go away!

This is probably the most obvious item that needs to go. Their way of placating the other employee groups I'm sure. "See we reduced the pilot's profit sharing too." They also seem to want to put every bad deal United has into our contract.

And with the help of Malone and the NC, they'll get that.

Agreed. Mgmt has already agreed to not change it except for DC and mgmt deduction. Already better from TA 2015.

Get rid of the DC and mgmt deductions, and we're ok here.

Does 3B4 apply to other airlines as well?

Like if we wait long enough, everybody else's pattern bargaining will get us raises without a single concession at all?

Nothing that can't be tweeked into a total win for us. No need to sink the boat as you seem so eager to do.
