How and why would a NMB park us. Afterall, isnt that why we have this ridiculous process anyway? Pilots cant strike because shutting down an airline as big as Delta "decimates" commerce in the U.S? This is what the railway labor act was designed to prevent. No one is getting "parked," but we might get screwed...thats possible. If the NMB were to "park" us they'd essentially be violating their inteded purpose of preventing a shut down in the first place.

How do you figure that? IF we are parked, we have to keep working.

Well i took parked to mean, the literal meaning as in , park a car...i.e. stop moving. Clearly "park" has a different meaning in these terms. My apologies.

You don't have to keep working...at least in the over and above material ways that is getting the job done for the company right now.

Need me to fly that extra turn...no.
Need me to extend past my FAA 117 duty day to the max...no.
Need me to go down stairs to get that stroller...no.
Need me to call for a fuel truck cause its 10 prior and they haven't showed...no.
Need me to do ANYTHING but the basic bare minimum...no!

FUPM.

Well the above mentioned gets it. When your "originally" built schedule says your work day is done, then be "DONE". And until your masses quit doing all the "rolling th" and that cute little colored paper thing, you have "ZERO" leverage. Go "HOME" and you will be amazed the attention one may get. One dog one bone.

You know what he was asking, and what I meant. Don't try to make it into something else. And I don't particularly want to pizz off our passengers and cut into my own profit sharing. ymmv.

Fire away

So I'm guessing you'd never vote to stike, as that would "pizz" off our passengers and cut into your profit sharing as well..... I'm guessing this is why the only leverage you see the pilot group has is to trade away work rules for better pay??

He wants money now because he is about to retire and he fights for longevity based pay because he is never leaving the ER but wants more money for doing nothing.

Take James Bond with a grain of salt. He doesn't give two $hits about you or the future of Delta.
