Default Heavy Lifting Complete

The pilots at other carriers have completed 100% of the heavy lifting when it comes to industry leading across the board.

Our negotiating committee has to do NONE.

From defined benefit pension to hourly rates . From vacation to medical benefits.

Captain Steve Dickson has given us his word of honor we will have:

"Industry leading pay, work rules and benefits."

Time for the MEC to direct captain Malone to request release from mediation and set a strike date.

Time is up.

Good point.

However, your post assumes every dalpa volunteer would have been in favor of 'lifting' for the 'pilots' in the first place.

In my opinion, you've brought up one of the most important points related to negotiations on this forum. While some may argue with your specifics, the fact is that UPS extracted a great deal in 27months of mediation. They should be congratulated for taking a stand for themselves, and consequently, for us as well. Vision and discipline, what a concept.

Strike? We are going to have a t/a on our lap any day/week now. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not paying attention. Vote no on it. Wait a couple of years. Then you may have your strike.

If some of the dalpa volunteers that make excuses for every pro mgt 'operational need' have their way, there will be no strike this decade.

These volunteers can go visit a carrier like Spirit and tell them all about running their strike ops. And then refuse to say the word when they return to the dalpa office.

Spirit might have gotten better consultation from the Alpa secretarial workers, who actually had a strike, I believe... against alpa.

If only we had a national leader willing to do a few weeks of jail time to set an example. Where could we get that kind of unionism? ALPA? Or some other CBA?

Have a strike vote, call a strike. If the regulations are impeding you, declare the emergency.
