So it seems as though it is just over a month right now from CJO to class date. Just out of curiosity if you had a schedule conflict that you had to attend around when you were to start class or during class how would they handle that? Thanks

You can bypass class if you need to.

You will initial the date of availability on your application during the HR interview.
My understanding is that if you cannot accept the first class offered for a legit reason (and it popped up after the interview) they may work with you...
I have heard of folks fudging the date of availability to get an earlier interview date...and then not being able to accept the class offered...

I wouldn't worry too much about it. They definitely give you ample warning and opportunity to plan around major life events and are generally understanding if something unexpected pops up. Just be advised: right or wrong, a weekend drinking at the lake with friends is not considered an "unexpected circumstance" or "major life event".

For all the recent new hires.....
- what's the range of quals that are getting calls for the interview?
- does military time jump you to the top of the stack?
- what's the timeframe from interview email/call - CJO and class date?
My app is live and updated. 8600+ hrs, non military, 4 types, 121, 135 and 91 time.
Thanks y'all.

Ok, sorry to sound bleak...maybe just not as good as being able to accept a class date that you put on paper (and initialed) you would be available for...
I did hear about someone asking to delay a class or two to be in a wedding that was known before the interview (but not reflected on the date of availability)...I guess there was tap dancing to follow... my understanding is that unless they are front loading before the holidays, interview dates seems to be tied to a specific class start date timeframe.
