Previous WAG was 1200 then 1000 even to account for the limbo/potential cancellation of the CS, so probably back to 1200?

Yeah and every month you see the 330A, 765A, etc guys retiring and how many of those guys seats have we filled in AE's lately?

Clearly we are not replacing these guys 1:1.

Hope we hire 1,200.

Leave it to the nyt to springboard from a study of dutch civil servants to produce this primer on retirement. Lol!

With the AE in May 2017 that had the 747 displacements, several of the top categories ended up being over staffed. After one or two more AE’s I think you will see the retirements start to be replaced 1 for 1 again.

They are replacing them virtually one for one other than shifts in 4 man flying between categories. Go back and review the May bid. Keep in mind that a lot of our retirements are not off the widebodies. They plan additional wide body bids on the next entitlement.

This is worth noting again when pay banding discussions start heating up. Too many people have the impression that all our senior folks are exclusively WB.
