I suspect all airlines will slow hiring. In the past five years Delta has almost always added a bunch of extra summer flying late in the spring. Did not happen this year. There are fewer routes you can fly profitably with oil at 72 a barrel vice 36.

That's why.
Pretty shortsighted.

Why don’t you just bid onto it in July and just wait to be displaced yourself? If it’s that good of deal, why didn’t you do it awhile ago?

wow, really? Try a little decaf bruddah.

I'll leave this here:

VD = seat lock. MD = no seat lock

Now you can back off and be nice about the question I asked or just continue to be a jackass. I really don't care. Or maybe you will like watching a new hire get a seat you could have had without a seat lock.

From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that flew the 88 with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in Atlanta now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their Airbii cheap whiles any speaks
That mushed the Mighty MadDog.

to some, getting off the airplane is more important than not having a seat lock

lol.. I think you coulda safely kept 'manhoods' in there but that's just me.

While it does seem that the dog gets even more jaded and vindictive in its older age it really isn't that bad. The challenge makes work exciting again, I have begun to look forward to it. #twisted I know..

Those who have flown it know. I was one who got off asap, not worth waiting to get displaced imo. Plus a seat lock forces me to stay put for a bit and voluntarily going back to Va ave anytime soon

I remember the DC-7 fondly, which is insane.
