Just got a CJO, but they didn’t give us any information as to the wait time for training.
Do they pass updates to people waiting in the pool? Any idea what the typical wait time is going forward? I’m starting a reserve gig and moving, but not really sure what timeline I should be using to avoid interfering with Delta training. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. -Turd

Congrats on the CJO!
They stopped training for a while, just started again. While I don’t have any good info on how deep the pool is, I’d expect that times will start coming down now that they are training again.

I interviewed mid November, and was told due to Delta still not knowing what their fleet plan is, it would be hard to say what the time frame to start class would be.....but they said if they were to guess, it would be April.
Turd, I figure you are about 25-30 behind me based upon how many CJO's Delta has given since.

Which followed the previous memo, where they were they were building in credit to absorb disruptions. It see-saws back and forth depending on what metric the investors are looking for in the upcoming year.

Pretty normal unless the pool is tiny and Delta needs bodies in seats ASAP. Back in '14 when there was a pool there was a guy who kept an informal spreadsheet that was pretty accurate in determining class dates for guys with a CJO. Might be a worthy project for somebody currently waiting on a class date to reignite.

The 10 December class was only 46 of the expected 50. I’ve heard that the 7 Jan class was 20, and it’s interview cutoff was 2 May. I’m curious what the anticipated count is for the 14 Jan class. One of my sources said their email seemed to have gone out with everyone on the bcc line, so he couldn’t tell how many others were getting the invite.

Yes, and because of the lack of variety for a while. There are pilots out there who like flying the same routes and doing the same layovers all the time but I think most of us appreciate a good mix. I haven't seen a c10 bid packet yet but I'm assuming the trips will be pretty boring until they announce more routes.
