DAL Class drops

I think it's gonna be a while before the NYC or ATL 320B get new hires. Those two categories have been heavy for a while. A lot of displacements also went to those two places and I think the company took them on as overages to prevent waterfall displacements. You may even see the same thing on the next bid with the 88 displacements.
It all depends on how this year's MOAB shakes out.

Initially? How about this, you cover this initial hit with your money and then the rest of us will join in. Sound ok?
After the initial wounds heal.... what a joke. That money that is lost from not being paid back....comes from thin air right? My other favorite....it should be forgiven.
Maybe if we just print more money to make up for it right?
Just where do you think "the banks money" comes from?...that you suggest doesn't need to be paid back.

I am saying is that now the banks are getting a guaranteed payment courtesy of the taxpayers. If the banks had to worry about writing down bad debt themselves instead of you and me 'guaranteeing' those loans, do you think they would be offering student loans to kids to get a degree in 15th century Lesbian Poetry? If they do, they won't be in business very long because when those kids can't find a job that pays enough to repay those loans... and then bankrupt them, what happens to the banks? Bankers are not stupid people. They have GUARANTEED payments from the American taxpayer.
Another thing to look at: Why haven't 'non-essential' government employees gone screaming for the exits when there was a shutdown that 'furloughed' them? 2 reasons: 1) Most of them know that they were gong to be paid anyway. 2) They get a guaranteed retirement after 20 that will never be taken away under any circumstances.

Really? Goodluck finding a more stable and safe gig than the US government...you know you'll be back payed and it's practically impossible to get fired. If a short government shutdown is scary, I can't imagine it will get better in a "non-federal" job.

I should have been more clear about it, but my point was that government jobs aren't necessarily the best thing out there for anyone who can get them. I added the part about her saving money because I didn't want it to come across that she didn't have the ability to make it through shutdowns.
