I don’t care what another pilot does with their life. ...if they want to work 5 days or 25 days. Some months I just want to chill, some months I want to make $$$, I just want the option.

Correct: I’ve moved up 244 spots since Jan, but the bottom of the seniority list has shrunk 57 pilots during the same time.

I still think there are too many pulling the “norm” needle in the wrong direction... so yeah I got a problem with that. Has anyone noticed a trend? It ain’t less work or TAFB. In fact it’s not even similar.

In June of 2018, we peaked with 14,719 pilots on the list. One year later, we are at 14,439 pilots. That's a loss of 280 pilots over 12 months.

And during that same 12 months, I moved up 520 spots.

So roughly hiring for 50% of attrition?

Some of the lack of hiring is due to new efficiencies I'm sure, but isn't it possible they simply over hired in the last few years to get ahead of the curve, and are now sluffing off some of the excess?
