I also know people at UAL. None of them fly 5 day trips on a NB, work rules/ QOL stuff were not even close. Sure our reserve rules might be better. But vacation, medical, work rules (other than reserve), DH rules, crew meals just to name a few we lag so far behind them and many others. This golden goose isn't so golden compared to the other geese in the yard.

You're right, our work rules and QOL stuff are generally much better, although there are some things I'd like to get that they have such as deadhead and crew meals. I like 5 day trips as do others, so your whining about that isn't even a QOL item from my perspective.

I don't know what your problem is, but you are not coming across as completely out of touch with what others experience. I mean, you are telling people to stay at regionals rather than come here, which that alone tells me you have absolutely no clue.

I'm saying they would be better off going to UAL compared to DAL at the moment. Our work rules are not better, you must have not read the contract comparison the union put out. Until we can fix our current contract they would be better off going there than here.

I have read the contract comparisons, and actually compared schedules with people I know. And yes, you still seem completely out of touch. Actually, this is the most sensical post you've made, except that your little "don't come here" rant didn't really say that. I still don't know what your problem is, other than being completely out of touch with the industry.

everything you stated is correct, but this should all get fixed in our next contact. I would still pick delta over United any day...not to mention my profit sharing check is much larger than my counterparts at United.

Totally, Plus no one else has as many buttons and shiny name tags on their blazers...that ought to be enough reason for folks to want to pay for their hotel stay in training and skip on crew meals and take middle seats on DH's without premium pay. Not to mention the smallest widebody fleet of the big 3.

Then add in the Gummed up schedules and you'll be begging for your regional contract back... Please donte come to DAL un till we get our new contract...
Fake news much?

Delta pilots are on training pay starting Day 1 of Indoc. They then revert to year 1 pay after completion of OE.
A hotel IS provided for the two weeks of Indoc. Newhires must find their own lodging for the rest of training, unless they train off-site, in which case a hotel in provided, as well as per diem.

Not to mention new hires don’t get profit sharing at UAL. For last year that’s a 18% difference with DC funding.

To give some actual numbers to this argument Ua profit sharing was 7.26% and they do not get any retirement contributions on that. As a lowly NB guy that’s $23,500 less in gross total compensation than I made at Delta for same amount of credit time. But hey WB’s right?
