I doubt it will be reserve for more then a few months. NY will always move fast and he can off course bid to different equipment once his 1year freeze is up.

Does not go into effect yet and I assume her husband is on the property.

According to the latest CR newsletter then intend to backfill FO's in NY on the 88 with new hires. Based on that statement if her husband had a NYC 88 bid in the system it should have been awarded. He should contact crew resources and request a NY bid award.

Not necessarily. Those new hire positions could have been from the unfilled positions on the previous bid.

However they were not by their own admission. 67 pilots bid off the FO seat in NY on this bid.

But how does the newsletter have any weight in the matter? If they never put a single new hire on NYC 88 then what?

I am talking about the Fall bid. It could have contained unfilled positions on the 88 in NYC (likely). Those positions can be assigned to new hires in the following months even though December bid did not have openings. I have seen it before on the ER.

Not supposed to work that way. If he gives them a call they should fix it. If not he needs to call the union.
