It'll be nice to see drops with something other than NYC again later this year. When the current AE closes I'd imagine there will still be unbid time positions in DTW, SLC, LAX, and ATL. Heck maybe even MSP could start seeing new hires if they really do open up a 717 base there.

So without seeing the junior bids, the only one that seems to really have a chance of not being filled is SLCC10B. But who knows what kind of waterfall bids could open up.
P.S. is there a way to see TOTAL bids for a position, rather than just those senior to you?

Some, but not many. With more than a week to go, there are already enough #1 bids in senior to me to fill all non-NYC 73N, 320, and M88(???) openings (surprisingly few on LAX320B, though). The DTW717B bids are almost full, and there are only 7 SLCC10B bids in. Both of those categories have a lot of guys in NYC junior to me that I have to imagine are bidding out and will likely fill up most of those remaining slots.

Also, looks like they want up to 30 new hires in the mad dog. So ATL will be possible soon! Last but not least, 90 more new hires for the rest of the year followed by “substantial” hiring in 2020.

I flew the 10 back in the early 2000's. I did enjoy flying Big Sexy as it was referred to.

Not sure about that. With the retirements we have coming up in the next couple of years it will be very short timelines to get just about any base in the narrow body you want on the FO side of things. If given the choice of being locked into the MD88 for a minimum of two years to be based in Atlanta versus taking the A320 to NYC knowing that the odds are good you'd get to Atlanta within 6-9 months with the movement that's coming... I think quite a few people would go for the tray table. Just a thought.
