Tanker,
The above is correct to convert TFP to an "hourly" rate but to convert total TFP you have to divide.
The key is that a trip is approximately 55 minutes of work. So an hour of work pays more. XXX amount of trips per month is less than XXX hours.
In your example, copied here you use 105 Trips as your example:
"Ask an SWA pilot what they earn for 12 days of work? Spoiler alert, about 105 hrs of pay"So dividing 105 tfp by 1.13 you get about 92 hours of pay.
The whole TFP issue is very confusing depending on which conversion you are doing but one thing is absolutely clear - We at DAL domestically can get no where near 92 hours in 12 days.

I agree that vacation/training pay need increased. I could live with 3:45 pay and credit(and maybe higher for training, like 5. shouldn't "lose" money going to training).
But you'd vote for it with 5 hrs. pay for these, but you're an easy NO if its only 3:45??? Your vote changes for 1:30 or so on this pay???? Wow. That's probably less than 3 or 4 % of the value of the increases. Full retro and PS is probably 70K in 2 checks we'd receive in the next 6 months. I'd get over the reduced training/vacation pay if it came to a vote

Ha. My wife has suggested that. Actually I don't want more hours....just fewer days need to get there. I bid high credit trips with minimum legs so that's part of it. Just would be nice to get that credit in 12-13 days

Did you know that if your air line has $4 billion annually to waste on stock buy backs that concessions are not necessary?
If Delta made $800 trillion in 2016 would we still need to make concessions? There is a part of me that thinks you would still advocate for scope concessions.
Tell us the your fairy tale about how placing management immediately into JV scope compliance is a huge win. I love that one.

I'm certainly increasingly uncomfortable that we're not going to get one, that is true. I don't think I'm alone. I don't think the middle is going to accept the lack of results much longer, and even the no-voters I know expected a deal, and are starting to squirm.
And while I'm not dying for any deal, just to pass it, I'm certainly getting upset that we're not going to vote anytime soon, to provide some clarity on the group's sentiment.

It's not the strong 12 fault that we have Moakies giving away the farm at the best of times. I'm glad theyre saying no to the crap sandwich those negotiators are delivering. Happy to wait till we have a new chairman who throws those giveaway junkies out.

Strong 12... Nice marketing, but over the top for such a useless product. I'd take "we can deliver what we promised" 12. Got any of that in store?
