Rookie Mistake

So I requested and got an APD for a 4 day trip, problem is I put the APD for all 4 days and now I can't pick up another trip on the last day like I had intended. Is there anyway to go back and override this? Thanks for the help.

No, there is not.

No, but never hurts to ask. I got a pb day put on mine, and later offered a greenie on it as well. Stuff off swap board is worth a shot.

Could plead with scheduling, can't see why they wouldn't want you to fly more.

I called sched. when I made the same mistake a couple years back. They said "no problem" they took care of it and just said to only do the one day next time. They were really good about it.

I was able to plead ignorance and they fixed mine as well. That was a few years ago.

Somebody please elaborate on the implication set forth in this discussion. You can APD the first day of a 4 day trip and the whole trip goes off your sked, but the 3 days are not coded in relation to an APD? Thus you are free to do whatever with days 2 thru 4? If so, does 100% of the trip need to meet the reserve coverage test, or just the actual APD portion? Under the "live and learn" principle, I've probably blown several paycheck- enhancement opportunities! 😳

Yes. In the APD template, you can put the rotation number or a specific date or dates. If you put the former, APD will show on your schedule for every day of the rotation. If you put the latter, only the date or dates you request will have APD showing. No pick-up of any kind is allowed on APD days. Neither is IA or IAWC. I like this because it makes you completely untouchable by the company.

.
All days of the trip must meet the 25% test before the trip will drop.
