Anything that needs notepad after notepad, webinar after webinar, and YouTube video after YouTube video to explain how to use it is going to cause a lot of problems..... Denny |
It would be nice if it had a display like EZBid did which showed the filtered trips after entering a preference/preferences - very logical and informative with the whole month laid out. This is a YUUUGE step backwards.

Precisely. I got on Navtech and was bidding with no problems Day 1. Never watched a video.

I wonder if there are a couple of pilots who own rights to Nav Blue and want it to be successful here so they can sell it to other airlines.
I have tried it several times and find it totally inferior, not user friendly and slow as molasses. |

Glad to see it's not just me.....
I always used the previous PHP based version of PBS , typically at home and on a high speed connection and sometimes on a layover with my Macbook. I wrote the PBS person about a couple things. I'm done. They just want to ram a square peg in round hole. To me it appears they don't want to hear it.... I suppose its so bad in its current form, they cant think past getting to run error free. Thats too bad, because i bet 13,000 engaged users could come up with lots of great suggestions. |
Hmmmmmm.....has EasyBid come to an end? Went to download next month's bid package and it said "Not Found."

More unpaid time learning something new for Delta.
I know I'm whining but I seem to be putting in a lot of time outside working, learning new PBS, contract etc. I guess I need to bid more 30hr layovers. Did I mention training by memo really ****es me off? Well, it does. Rant over.

You are correct that we should be paid for significant changes like this. It needs to be codified in the contract, and changing the CBA won't fix that.

I am beginning to like the new web app bidder. It will take a few hours of your own time to read notepads and watch videos to fully grasp the new product. TEN |

I refuse to use it until absolutely mandatory. I can't remember if it was flight OPS or ALPA that sent out an email this month with the stat that about 5000 pilots had used the new system. To me the tone of the email was like they'd won some kind of victory and the program is awesome, just look how many people are using it... I thought about giving it a try but I really like the PBS desktop application. I won't touch the new program until the old one is 100% dead.

Easybid posted today that there system will work after the changeover. No need to panic if you want to keep the simple easy to use system.

I tried to go to the web app in the ATL A lounge yesterday and all I got was an error 404 page not found.
What a pile of crap. The desktop version worked fine and could be used offline. |
Phew.....finally got April to load on EasyBid.
Tried using the Airbus app this AM and I must confess, I was more frustrated than a deaf mute at Bingo with Bingo trying to yell "Bingo!" as I entered bids. It is "functional" but incredibly labor intensive and finicky. Hopefully they will be able to improve its interface and functionality. And, as was said before, if AZ has to put out an hour and 35 minute video on how to use this new app, I'm thinking the new platform isn't so intuitive/user friendly. |

I think those guys are on to a pretty lucrative gig. Seems silly they wouldn't update their software when they might be in a potential growth scenario. Now, will it work immediately? Who knows, but I'm sure they'll eventually get their crap coagulated and will probably make out like bandits.
Just sayin'. I like the product and have used it since it was developed. I remember using it on my 486................don't quite remember using it on the 386 but might have.... Denny |

I reluctantly took time to view the vids on YouTube. I don't like the new format but the logic of bidding is the same as the old Navtech. I recommend Google chrome. I've had the best results with it and the demos are done on chrome but with a MacBook. I'm using my su(ck)rfa(ss)ce 3 and all the function seem to work with chrome. Good luck and do it on a long sit or layover. At least that way you aren't wasting home time to not get paid.

That's like saying Delta IT is pronounced ...IT, but the SH is silent. |

The most hated technology at Delta besides the surface tablet. It needs a fully functional calendar format with fully visible trip footprint for preferred and filtered trips so what is happening is clear. No clarity. Easybid is old, clunky and limited, but what it has is concept of design. You can actually see what's happening as you enter preferences. The preferred as well as the avoids. PBS has numbers to look at. This is not progress. It sucks and we all know it. It needs a calendar that actually shows trips. THE ENTIRE TRIP. I don't schedule a haircut without looking at a calendar. Why should I bid without one on the screen?
