Personal headset in A320

For those of you with personal headsets that require an XLR adapter, have you had issues in any of the aircraft? I use a Clarity Aloft and recently was unable to receive any audio in ship 3254. I could transmit, however. The aircraft headset worked fine. I later plugged into a different 320 and all was fine again. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues on certain 320's or if my headset/adapter is on its way out. Thanks.

I use an adapter on the A320 with my Telex 850. The only issue I have is that I must select the LO setting for the noise reduction otherwise it results in volume levels that are too high.

I have a Telex 5x5 with the RJ conversion that I was using for the past 4 years. Should I keep the two ear pieces or just convert it to one side only?

I know probably most of the time headsets comes out at FL180, just debating on what should I do.

I have a Bose and there are a couple of planes I have had issues in during the past 2 years.
