Las Vegas

For those of us who don't get to lay over in Munich, The Hofbrauhaus in Vegas is a good place to get a little bit of that Gemutlichkeit. Good and authentic German food and beer. I like the Sauerbratten.

Unless you're staying at the Hard Rock it's kind of hard to get to but worth the trip.

The "House" is alot of fun if you happen to be there in October. Like Burn Water said, it's a bit of a hump but worth the effort.

Cheers.

And those waitress uniforms! Yummy!

I go there often, and enjoy it! If your are looking for a good hotel even closer than HardRock try The Hyatt place. New hotel, and huge plasma screen TVs.

With Vegas changing soo much every couple of years, where are the good places for nightlife nowadays?

Stringer 05-10-2012 10:46 AM

or you could go to the one in CVG, much more reasonably priced and fairly close to the airport, depending on where they put you up!

Show your crew badge and get 20% off. My buddies dad is the top monkey there. Drink up!!!!!!

Same product not the same vibe as Las Vegas. There is one in Wrigleyville as well, about 2 or 3 blocks south of the temple of baseball. As much as I love Chicago the Hof in Las Vegas feels the closest to Munich.

This place is a must-drop-by-and-eat/drink if on a Vegas layover.

Not quite.

The 20% off is true . . . but it doesn't apply to beer. A 1 liter beer cost me $14.95, no discount. Not complaining - I love a good weiss and sauerbraten, but the discount only applies to the food.

I just came from there the other day, and am looking at my receipt now. Its still 20% off for food, but, don't "drink up" thinking otherwise. Good beer, like all of the best things in life, isn't cheap.

Dont stay at Terribles. It has a reputation for being a great crew hotel, but in reality, its not nice and its a long walk to the strip. You can do better.
