Default Cheap hotels in or Near Phoenix

Anyone know of any hotels that are good and cheap for flight crews in the Phoenix. I'm just taking a trip down there with a friend and we're looking for a good cheap hotel. Nothing fancy for this first year FO.

I don't know if it matters, but I work for Mesaba.

Try Mesa's Del Rio company hotel. Fabulous.

stayed at the Days Inn (pretty sure that's which one it was) in Scottsdale. Was last year, for a friends wedding, not a great hotel, but was alright for the wifey and I, was a short drive to the college area, but we didn't venture that way, had plenty of boozing w/ my old college buddies during the reception.

Think the price was around a 100-130 or something in that range. As i remember it, phoenix was rather expensive, so, 130 wasn't toooo bad.

Find out where the ATP flight school apartments are, near Williams Gateway, ASU East, if you promise job recommendations at Mesaba they'll probably let you stay for free. PHX hotels are stupendously expensive even with crew discounts.

Hampton Inn PHX Airport South - in Tempe, about 2.5 mi south of airport. They have a AAA rate that has so far never been more than $100/night including tax and fees. Sometimes it is less. Shuttle service provided to/from airport. Reserve online through Hilton Hotels Online - Hilton Hotels.

The price depends on where you are staying in Phoenix..... Where exactly are you staying?

We're doing some Kayaking on the Colorado river. My buddy lives in Tucson, but Phoenix is right along his drive to where we're going so he will pick me up there. Really, we could stay anywhere in the Phoenix area.
