Default Endeavor Interview Gouge

This interview took place the middle of January 2017

Positive space to MSP night prior
Stay at Holiday in Eagan
Shuttle to Endeavor HQ by 7:30am
Company presentation for an hour
Hand over all paperwork/logbook
Head to bullpen, go in order by earliest departing flight home
-interview-
One pilot one HR
Tell us all about you in 2 minutes
Who were previous Chief pilots
What would they say about you
How important is customer service, what do you expect it to be
Flying with FO who wears blazer only, what do you do.
You're CAPT, airport you're arriving at closes, what do you do?
Airport closes due to an attack, what do you do? What do you tell px?
-technical-
Difference between AC and D.C.
Where would D.C. power come from
What are the effects of forward CG
What is Coffin Corner
What is VDP
Light gun signals
What's weather in MSP (METAR)
Now headed to DFW what's weather on arrival and do you need alternate (METAR)
Is OKC acceptable to be alternate
Approach plate (Jepp or NACO), brief it
Qs about approach plate, altitudes and DME arc
-Done with their questions -
Now you get to ask them questions
After this you'll be sent back to the waiting area as they review and eventually will be called back to review and let you know how you did.

Pretty straight forward. Just be prepared, be confident and overall make the interview a flowing conversation as oppose to a check ride oral.

Thanks for this. I have an interview there next week. Did you get a CJO? Do they even offer CJOs at the interview?

What's the answer to this question? I'm assuming the guy is still wearing pants, shirt, tie etc. are they asking about the hat?

They seriously ask all those BS questions?
Waste of time it seems.

If I ever climbed into a cockpit with a person wearing nothing but a blazer, I would promptly walk out and get the chief pilot and local manager involved.

Unless she was hawt, I mean.

Sounds like a lot of questions for an airline fighting for every body they can get.

I'll throw in to keep in mind; the interview for people with 121 time is nothing like this, it's more of a meet and greet, one or two basic airmanship questions, a few what would you do questions and read a metar taf and briefed a approach, in and out in 15-20 minutes, the longest part was going over logbook and verifying information on the application and just chatting about whatnot, the CFIs that went though were in there for an hour though.

Yes. Got the CJO. Start training in a week.
And yes, they offer CJO right there when they call you back in to discuss how you did, hand shakes and paperwork to follow before they fingerprint and drug test you before you head to your flight home.

Ha. Sorry. Yes. I guess this could have been more descriptive instead of my hurried submission. Yes, full uniform but wearing "sweater vest" or whatever its called as oppose to coat.

Answer they wanted was talk to them about wearing the professional uniform, if they still resist then you could bring this to the union/professional standards.

Not understanding the point here, I see pilots wear the sweater all the time. The sweater is part of the uniform and can be worn in exchange of the blazer between nov and may.
