Because they dropped it during the middle of the informational part of a TA process. Clearly a slap in the face, showing they don't really give 2cents about what happens at 9E.

Are these individuals subject to the same Delta *pilot* interview as everyone else, or at least the 1st day portion with the face to face all the computerized tests??

Are you REALLY that daft??? You are a pilot already. Making money. This program is for people who barely have any hours, and are probably never going to become a professional pilot on their own. But if they show the inclination, and are willing to put forth the effort, Delta will assist them. What is wrong with that? You will NEVER compete with them.

The EDV MEC Chairman sent out an email to the group at 4:30pm today regarding this topic. It is a good read.
I don't want to quote it here as I'm sure DAL has minions poking around our boards, and I'm in no position to speak for our MEC, but the email was sent to our entire pilot group, so shouldn't be too hard for an active 9E pilot to find it.
