Another newb question.

Where do I find information on the leather jacket? I have dug around the two vendor sites and can't find a thing.

Thanks

What kind of info are you looking for? They sell them at the stop over store where you can have your uniform allowance and Perrone leather makes a nice jacket if you wish to order off online.

Thanks,

I would like to look at the specs and prices online.

Which stopover store has them on-site?

Which Perrone model is acceptable to the company?

Thanks again.

I know for a fact CVG does. But I’d make a safe bet and say ATL MSP and DTW do too.

Any black leather jacket with epaulets that are gold and no patch (empty Velcro is fine) is acceptable.

Perrone are also made to order so don’t expect it in the mail right away. They’re all handmade on site. Ordered mine a few years back in like April and didn’t get it until June. Great quality tho

You can also look on eBay for a slightly used one. That's how I got mine. It's the standard Perrone airliner jacket (they're all basically a standard design of jacket). Great quality that I think looks better than other brands. I paid $200 for mine, it was from a Skywest pilot.

When you say hand made did they take your measurements and custom fit the jacket to you? I've been wanting a leather jacket but I am a non-standard size and need custom tailoring. None of the standard size jackets really fit right.

No. I guess i was a little vague. You order it to your specifications and they then make the jacket once the order is received, not just taken off a rack and shipped. You could maybe contact them about your certain size with how they make it they could potentially do something like that.

I’m not 100% sure but I think you can get custom jackets from Gibson and Barnes. I’ve never owned one of their jackets but they make really high quality flight suits!

Pops Leather will custom make one for you if they are still around. And I do mean custom. Any style you want. Bought one from them in Turkey many years ago (not a pilot one), it was awesome.

Gibson and Barnes make a nice heavy coat with removable liner. Buy it used and save a LOT of money. Before you buy one from Crew Outfitters (no offense), I would handle a Perone or G&B jacket. Feel the difference.

Oh, and be prepared to be looked down upon in disdain by many...

Are you referring to leather jacket versus suit jacket with being looked down upon?
