Endeavor vs. Skywest in DTW?
 

Anyone have any idea how long it takes to hold DTW as a new FO at Endeavor? I have a CJO and training date with SKW and recently received an offer for a phone interview with Endeavor and not quite sure what to do.

Hopefully there’s more to the pros and cons list than just this question. Even at a six month wait you’d be money ahead and enjoy a better quality of life at Endeavor

Had new hires in my Feb class hold it on the 200.

I routinely see it on the positions available to new hire section of the vacancy awards. Even on the 900 it’s obtainable before the end of IOE lately, but who knows what will happen in the future.

Held it as a March new hire at Endeavor. It was my initial award on the 200.

When did you initially apply? Im in the same boat as you but have not received a call from EDV. Applied early Feb and got the email that everyone else got.

FO prob pretty easy, CA, maybe not so easy. You can even hold MSP as an FO, which is impossible for any CA hired after ancient times. I'd come here, even if you have to get to spend some time in NYC. Our pay is miles ahead of OO, but that's your personal decision. I'm just one of those guys who likes getting paid.

Commuting comes at a big price and money is just part of that equation.

This shouldn't even be a question tbh.. Should be able to get DTW right away if not within a few months. 9E is worth it over SKW any day of the the week..

I applied in April and will be phone interviewing tomorrow.

Skywest you can get into class right after a interview. Endeavor might take a year after a interview. Interview with both and make your decision.

For now yes. If gojet stays then I imagine in two years time, 9E will be ATL, NYC and somewhere out west.

Nothing like closing your 2 easily most senior bases to help morale. That would be an expensive and very disruptive prospect.

That's the problem with being the wholly owned, we have to go where there are the most IROPs.
