Not really extremely important. We will make sure though you understand you can not do the DGI till you have a 4 year degree is all.

One of my friend with over 6000 Hrs and 5000 multi 4000 Jet and 2000 Hrs PIC corporate jet with 2 Type Rating applied and was chocked what the Recruiter told him .

Since you have not flown in few years , you need to be current in any single engine Inst as C-172 or similar type to be considered.

He believe any body goes for initial training you will be current and qualify for the type of acft and operation .

Where do they hire these Recruiters ?

Yeah if you have 6000 hours you don’t need to worry about proficiency.

Why not? Also currency and proficiency are not the same thing.

I’ll be 55 before I get to the Airlines. How long would I be working at Endeavor before I would be eligible for the DGI?

If everything continues in current state? Probably 4 years, 2 to get the 1000 part 121 to upgrade and 2 years as a Captain.

If you have qualifying experience 121 or 135 to upgrade, it could be 18 months minimum (but actually probably 24 months because you have to finish Captain OE and then serve 18 months as a Captain after that)

Who knows if current state will continue. 2 years ago we were upgrading 8-9 year FO's

Thanks for the info, trying to do a cost-benefit analysis to see if it is worth it for me to get the degree. I lack just a few credits to get an associates in Aircraft Maintenance.
