Default New Hire Qualifications

First time posting, long time lurking...

What are the recent qualifications of the new hires at Endeavor?

My Experience:
BS Aeronautical Science from ERAU DB
CRJ200 CRM course at ERAU
Airplane CMEL/CSEL
Military RW
1300ish TT with majority of the time in the AH-64. 430hrs Combat time if that counts for anything.

I am short on some of the 250hrs FW PIC to meet the requirement for R-ATP. Im curious if Endeavor hires many military RW pilots since they dont have an RTP. Im already working on finishing up the remainder FW time.

Thanks in advance.

You need to get your fixed wing time on your own, after that I think you’ll be a good candidate, especially if you got the CMEL recently. Fly as much instrument as you can. We have several former military helicopter pilots here and the one I know followed a path similar to yours.

Great to hear. Its hard to pay out of pocket knowing I can get the time paid for by other companies but I think Endeavor would be worth it in the long run.

I appreciate the response.

Never too early to engage with the hiring department here. There’s a recruitment hotline you can call and maybe if you’re not hundreds and hundreds of hours short they can give you an interview before you finish the last of the hours. It’s possible if you’re within a few months of reaching the 250 hours.

There’s an unusually high amount of military helo pilots here considering we don’t have an RTP. I run into them all the time. I just flew with a fellow Blackhawk pilot, met a guy who was in the same Chinook unit I was in 15 years ago, and get told about other helicopter pilots here all the time.

Finish up that 250 PIC and come on over. It’s pretty good here and is arguably better than the shops that offer RTPs.

Thats great to hear! Endeavor is not spoken of very much in the military RW world. Everyone is all about the RTP. Id rather pay for the last little bit of PC time in a 150 and not be restricted to any a company that offers the RTP. Plus, reading the posts under this forum makes me feel comfortable about the commuting policy, QOL, pay, and opportunities with 9E. Delta DGI is a plus but its just a good thing to have in the back pocket.

Do not expect Endeavor to offer an RTP transition program in the future. Unlike most other airlines, our contract limits the amount of money the company can provide new hires for recruitment (which is a very important thing).

You're leaning the right way. If I had it to do all over again and was in your shoes, I'd bite the bullet on paying for my remaining time and avoid signing a contract for RTP. I honestly believe we have the best thing going here, beyond the pay and commuter policy.

I was at another 121 carrier before coming here, and I interviewed at another prior to joining 9E that promised great things...but my friends who took the other path see the grass on our side and are asking for the name and number of our lawn guy.

Here you go - Endeavor's Pilot Outreach team is 612.266.1470. Call them and get that conversation started. You won't regret it AND you won't be locking yourself down to some under-delivered promise of an RTP program. Good luck, bud!

As a former Army RW guy, I can tell you 9E is a good place to work. It's a great stepping stone to any mainline gig or a good long term home.

I will do what I can to increase our RW outreach.
