Crj 200 atl

Good morning-ish

I'm hoping to come over to Endeavor from another airline and have ATL in mind. The last four of my SS is very high so I figure I'll have a pretty good chance getting what I want in class.

What is the life like on the 200 in ATL? How long is reserve? Hours per month for a line holder? Movement?

Thanks!

ATL has slowed down a bit, I think it’s taking guys about 6 months to get there on the 200. Look at the junior line holder thread...

In theory as the last of the ExpressJet flying ends, we should see a bit of a bump there so some added staffing, but this airline is New York #1... everything about this place now revolves around the New York operations and will do so at the detriment to any other base/hub.

So let me ask a question that may give you a few laughs but it is on the level....how long to ATL CA on anything?

200 - January 2018 hire
900 - Spring 2017

Both will be on reserve more than 18 months*

*New hires with prior 121 time awarded captain during initial FO training

That is misleading. The junior pilots got Atl early after it opened. Pilots getting ATL 900 now have been over 8 years at EDV and no 200 spots on last two vacancies.

This is for captains... and captains only.

That's what was asked.

It is impossible to predict what your equipment, assignment or equipment will be. I was initially awarded NYC 900 FO and I finally got to an actual airplane as an ATL 200 CA.

Can that happen now? Yes and no.

Be prepared to sit and fly in the worst case scenario of NYC some equipment FO and be prepared for every other possibility. Don't believe any other promise and don't be pessimistic.

Any other airline which promises better is also blowing smoke up your southern region.

This is a well run, good place to work. That is worth more than I thought it was. The reserve system in particular is fantastic, if you live in base.

I’d be moving from another airline. I’ve learned to not mind reserve and it seems like edv is doing it right
