FWIW, the section of the pilot group to whom the shuttle has the most benefit (commuting co-domiciled FOs on short call reserve) didn't complain about the shuttle. The FOU stated that negative shuttle feedback came from the 2018 employee survey. Co-domicile was brand new then. The majority of the first batch of FOs who sat short call reserve in the co-domicile were still in the schoolhouse, with no exposure to working in our NYC operation, when that survey was submitted.

I respect business decisions rooted in logic and reason, but to bill this as "the collective will of the NYC pilots" is inaccurate. I'd put money on the result that there will be far more complaints about the removal of the shuttle in this year's company survey than there were complaints about the shuttle in last year's survey.

Perhaps the shuttle came up during contract negotiations and it was more than just the survey. I'm not sure. I wasn't here then.

I use the shuttle frequently to go between LGA and JFK and am not looking forward to replacing it with the Q70-E-Air Train. Oh well. Can't afford $20 each way the amount of times I do the trip each month. Public transit works fine. It's just a pain.

Uber any Lyft will go up in price.

City of New York enacted a pay floor for ride-hailing companies. More so to match the $$ of the taxi cabs because they were losing to the ladder. (even though uber and lyft offer a much better and convenient product) I still won't take a taxi, regardless; because it's an inferior product.

That’s almost the same rate our flight attendants make, but at way more than 75 hours a month.

I’d say add it to the list of jobs paying better than a 9E FA, but I think it’s probably just easier to keep a “jobs paying worse” list, because it’s much shorter. But the free flights, though!
