Default training department Qs and earliest class

Hi folks,

Will be honest, 9E is my first choice if they will take me, or if training delay is not huge.

I sniffed around and looks like folks originally scheduled to start this month had been pushed back to September.

Any sign it is trending towards shorter wait?

And ---is the training department pretty good? Awesome? Just meh?

Need to move on from my 135 shop with more than 500hrs multi turbine PIC. 4-Year non- aviation degree, no military background (If that helps you figure out if they would be more likely to delay me once I am in the pipeline although it sounds like those are unlikely to be determining factors).

9E is great, but can't delay advancement for 9 months...that is almost a year. Am I doomed

Thanks!

9E training is very good in my opinion. That said, we aren't interviewing right now. Some airlines have a CJO pool waiting on class dates. We are not doing this. We just stopped interviews. So until we start interviewing again (summerish) don't expect a call. And that'd be for a fall class date. 9E is a good place and won't be a bad choice if this growth really comes but the timing just may not be right for you to look here.

I'd give it a couple months, tops, before we're interviewing again. Best to get in the queue now than later in the year when we've already opened the gates. Apply, update, and see what happens.

I second the stance on training. Exceptional instructors from day one through the end of IOE. I find the entire leadership team to be excellent and approachable, too. We do an onboarding day that I've not seen or heard of anywhere else...it's a cool experience. Hope you can hold out and join us soon!

I didn't say anything about military guys. So not sure what you mean. No one (civ or mil) is being interviewed right now.

Welcome,

I started here Oct. 15th, 2018, and I just finished OE last week, so in total it took me around 100 days to finish. Which I think is a very good number considering the holidays we had off and I had no prior jet experience. Training department was excellent, they want to see you succeed and will also send you home on all of your off days. OE was also great, I had 3 really experienced captains that put up with the mistakes and questions.

I don't have much bad to say, hope you stick it out until the hiring starts back up.

Would it be appropriate to apply around 1200 TT knowing that you’ll be delayed for awhile? I figured maybe someone could interview for a fall date, but also have it where they could meet ATP mins just before indoc. Just a thought
