Now cue the endeavor cheerleading apologist for how this is all fine, as we miss out on more flying. "Planes arent at any airline yet, we still got a chance." "Growth coming just not yet and not these." "Boy you guys sure do over react every time they promise growth and the planes go somewhere else, its gonna be different this time because a guy in C tower told me."
Ill give 3 to 1 on the first, 6 to 1 on the second, 20to 1 on the last.
One large NYC base in 5 yrs. Calling my shot.

/Joke explanation
I'm not actually a betting market rep, and I don't really lay odds in anything. Im a pilot and, therefore, bad at math. There's a lot of time off, but even with my schedule, i couldn't run a bookie shop. Also, we've had the football yanked from us by Lucy multiple times, and we're all waiting with apprehension for the next time EDV goes full Charlie Brown.

Yeah, United's scope language is significantly different from ours. I would be very surprised if any airline besides UAL tries this CRJ550 abomination. Just because you add premium seats doesn't mask the fact it's a small(ish) regional jet. Scott Kirby, the mad scientist, thinks he's solved the revenue problem for his airline...when really, it's just perpetuating the stink from a contract carrier.

So if you wanna hold onto those big timers yet still want to reduce capacity for coming downturn, you dont want to kick the tires on some used 200s, you want something you can present as an alternative to that top tier group even in that regional market.
