Self serve drinks and snacks? Don’t know if that’ll work but looks like a sweet 200 replacement.

One working theory I’ve seen is this could have been created if they plan to use only 1 FA. So a little free labor from the passengers to cut costs.

Because the passengers weren't disregarding the seat belt sign enough already... let's add treats.

50 seats... only one FA required.

LOL. Well said. Especially on a 45 minute flight where you might never even level off.

That doesn't make sense. All 50 seat planes only have 1 FA, so there is not need for "free labor." They are just trying to do something with the extra space. The A380 has a self service snack station and now United can say their RJ has similar amenities to the A380.

No main cabin service on these flight anyways. Shouldn’t be a big deal. The issue will continue to be the sole lav being at the back of the airplane. Wonder why they didn’t consider adding forward lav (maybe it will be on the factory fresh option) with all the extra space.

The asa/xjt 700s originally had 2 lavs. Pulled the forward one out when it went dual class. We can hope? it comes back. There certainly is room.

Of course, but if it’s meant to be a premium plane on premium routes there’s talk they may still use 2 FAs. However, the self-serve station kind of argues against 2.
