Endeavor interviewing? Hiring? Class dates?

And if you go to mainline someday and they stop hiring the moment after your class starts you'll be in the same position. Being junior sucks, if those 4 leave then the bottom four afterwards will be the RR champs. You rolls' your dice, and ya' takes' ya' shot.
Make sure you're reviewing 25.J if you're on reserve, because there's a metric ton of money to be made if you're improperly used, contacted, or otherwise violated. 100% chance someone is calling up scheduling and begging for flying out of reserve order because they are whiny wheedling ****s (explicative).

The thread was about reserve rules.
Continually screwing the bottom guys on a seniority list is unsustainable in a tight labor market. Not to be unnecessarily difficult but how so?
Except for street captains, nobody should be the most junior forever. You really think people are going to come here, sit 20 ready reserve periods over 2 months and quit to go elsewhere? Excluding fuzzy math bonuses elsewhere we're the best paid. If that's all the hardship it takes to get someone to quit then they should probably hang it up now. Right now we're in an upswing, that's not always the case. Unless you're extremely lucky you will face furlough, downgrade and reduced pay lines at some point in your career, that beats the heck out of ready reserve.
We could do better than "it's always been like that" if we choose to...I don't think I or others have made that argument necessarily but nothing comes free, what should the other 1990 of us give up in work rules and quality of life to reduce the number of ready reserve periods the most junior guys are sitting for a few months? Go back to 11 days off for reserves?

I think, though I could be mistaken, that any reserve can already volunteer for ready reserve, so I'd say that if those other reserves want to "take one for the team" and help out those 4-6 people, they already can. The only other thing we could do is amend the contract to force the other reserves to "take one for the team" and you might not be as supportive of that once you're not the bottom 4-6 people.

I always laugh when I read on the fb group about guys complaining they’re not used, then I check flica crew resource report and they don’t have the first out preference. It’s amazing how some guys will complain before they even take a chance to analyze the situation and consider if maybe they’re doing something wrong...
Revolutionary when it helps themselves, status quo when it doesn't. The patterns of repetition get boring after a while.

When times were good the adults in the room passed a lot of contractual help to the reserve pilots, and I'm proud of that. Hope you all remember that when you complain in a couple years time, "why have you been helping these small number of pilots! The lineholders outnumber the reserve guys and I had to deal with reserve for 14 months! Screw them!"

Last month I flew 3.6 total hours. So far this month I am at 0.0.
There is so little open time/available work that it really doesn't even matter.
Also, I've worked at more airlines than probably anyone on this thread, and I can positively say we have above average reserve work rules in general. If you're complaining nonstop about reserve here, well, you have no idea what bad really looks like.

You've finally taken step one into fixing your own situation. Step two, watch the sheets and every time a junior guy gets flying scheduling tells you isnt yours fill out an issue form while reading 25.J to learn, while also getting the unions factual instruction. After 20 issue forms youll be an expert and you'll either be flying more, or getting a ton more money from violations. If the money slows down, give it about 2 months, all new schedulers will be hired, taught wrong, and you can roll around in their carelessness. Then teach 5 friends to do the same. You'll find all of your lives deeply enriched and made better by your own hands.

So if it doesn't matter shut up. It clearly does matter.

The point isn't the issue forms. The point is there is NO flying. Junior guys aren't getting it ahead of others, no one is getting it.
But I'll just shut up because you clearly have all the answers and know more than anyone else.

I'm sorry, are you seriously telling me to "Shut up" for adding a perspective to the conversation? How are you in the cockpit? Or are you just an internet warrior?
