And yet ‘we’ don’t. Look at Jet Blue, Spirit and Frontier. New hire pay the first year is generally LESS than the new hires were paid as captains at the regionals they came from. Nobody wanted to invest a dime of negotiating capital to make sure the new hires weren’t screwed. And first years at legacies aren’t generally a WHOLE LOT better, not when you look at training pay and the fact they are then going to spend a year or more on reserve. It’s not until people are already on board through their probationary year that anyone seems to care about them.

Kind of like fraternity hazing.

You're not keeping up with the converation, so I'm just gonna focus on the most important task part of my previous post. Keep in mind how far behind the learning curve you are on reserve. If you just figured out how to mark yourself first out, youre so far behind you think you're ahead.

Read 25.J, and fill out an issue form every single time someone junior than you gets flying (by checking flica reserve utilization) until you get this stuff figured out. It's gonna take you a lot of trial and error in some cases.

All you do is keep making assumptions. I said I didn’t fill out first out last month. I didn’t say I just figured it out.

Maybe you should try to keep up and stop acting like you know everything.

As much as I would like to work there, I'm not waiting until fall for a class.

Thanks.
All regionals are hiring pretty much anyone.

Yeah, but Endeavor and Republic (the two highest paying regionals) have classes full until fall.

We should always seek improvements, but my god I hardly consider our reserve rules anything less than above average. Commute during your call out period, SS ready on the first and last day to allow more flexible commuting, contractual auto release, just to name a few.

I sat my fair share of reserve and spent plenty of time on ready. My friend was on reserve at Envoy during the same period. Theirs are UNDENIABLY BAD.
Anyone know anything about Skywest reserve rules?
