I wish them good fortune in the wars to come. They should have learned what playing with the regional feed too often does, but they can learn again if they forget easily.

Feels like we might’ve lost our edge with Delta. Suddenly they’re not calling us the “Gold Standard.” Something is up. Was in LGA yesterday, and there was more Skywest and Republic E-Jets than Endeavor CRJ’s. I’m talking around double the amount. Delta is definitely up to something where Endeavor is concerned. And I’m thinking we may be in for a surprise. I try to be a the glass is more than half full kind of guy. But not when it comes to Delta. I can’t even count how many times I’ve heard of something good coming our way. Only to have it go to Skywest
I can't believe you of all people would complain about a lack of ny flying:). If Republic and Skywest are there more and out numbers are better, let them come. Skywest has no desire to stay in NY, and they always get their way. Dont worry, your 3 hr sits in the hot lga crew room arent going anywhere. |
What will probably happen is we shift 900 flying out of NYC, to DTW and RDU, to cover GoJet. I could also see a CVG domicile perhaps, I spend more time there than any other base these days.

Everything will be just fine take a deep breath and go get a snack from the basket. I’m usually in the doom side of the argument but I truly believe that more flying is headed our way. Delta is holding the move close because whomever is losing the flying they don’t want the service to take a hit in the time it takes to move the aircraft. Let’s all face it pilots are vengeful and ontime and service goes down the ****ter when we get ****ed. Delta will make the announcement of aircraft moving with very very little time probably after the summer rush I would bet. Only think I can agree with on this thread is the new CEO isn’t a winner and I’m hoping Delta throws a new one our way real quick. A little communication goes a long way to help just a simple hello everyone I’m still alive and working on securing more flying would really improve the outlook at this place.

In positive news...
I needed a ride from JFK to LGA last night. I tried the Via thing. I got picked up in ten minutes. The ride was non-stop. No one else was in the van with me. It cost less than $9 before the tip. So that's cool. |

That’s good to hear. Now I’m waiting for everyone else to come in here with their negative stories about how it would’ve cost them $100 to get to Kew from JFK and how the driver felt them up on the way there or almost had an accident.

Felt up? I usually don't pay that much, but if you can get it on the way to work ... I mean... I guess.

Guys are pretty dramatic on here so you never know.
I suppose the real truth is pilots at regionals don't stay on reserve long one way or the other. While you can find folks that stuck or regional reserve hell (real reserve hell, no 12 days off and some long call) its very few. But they seem to have a high level of participation on the web boards. |
