Default Annual Employee Survey

The annual employee survey was emailed this morning. Please take the time to fill it out with your honest opinions, concerns, wants and needs. It may seem pointless and silly to some, but it does make a difference. We have seen some good things come from it in the past (S3A, etc.) which shows that we can make a difference when we all unite on the same issues. The data is compiled, compared YOY and then distributed to all employees.

Just completed mine. I do think the company has made good strides in the past year, considering some of the challenges we're up against with DC. I know my responses won't get us a flow, or open a SEA base (which would be huge for me), but you're spot on CMA...S3A has been HUGE for me, as well second flight PS commuting. I believe both those items came out of survey responses.

I'm really proud to work here. This is a good group, leaders are open and accessible, and I feel they're doing their best to recognize us. PLUS - cookies on 4/23 per Joe's video. Woohoo!

I know the Endeavor MEC had been advocating for higher pass travel for years prior to when the company actually implemented it. I think their advocacy and survey responses definitely got that beyond the finish line. However, I believe second flight positive space was all ALPA. Based on a conversation with my rep, it came about because ALPA wanted to improve the commuter clause. Quite a few commuters, especially NYC, were losing money when they had to use the policy with most cases being cancelled flights. ALPA proposed to pay protect these pilots and the company didn't want to do that cause they believed there wouldn't be an incentive for a pilot to try and get to work. ALPA then proposed the Delta policy which was what we currently have. The company fought hard against it at all bargaining sessions but eventually conceded to it at the end, mainly due to receiving co-domicile. I also might be wrong, but I don't believe our flight attendants have it.

With all that being said I believe its a good idea to do the survey. I think many times the company doesn't believe our elected leadership but when they also hear the same issues via survey results it becomes much more difficult for them to ignore them.

You might be right, but more so on the last part of your comment. I made a point to push for getting the deal done for our FAs so they can be taken care of. I feel for them. Not sure where those discussions are, but I hope they're close.
