Default 900 to NYC

How hard is it to get 900's in NYC with a SSN that starts with a 10.

Thanks

NYC is attainable with any SSN. All the growth is forecast on the 7/900, so easy on both accounts.

The company awards initial assignments to new hires based on SSN. Odds are good everyone in the class gets the choice of NYC or NYC, but you never know. It could be on the 200? Or it may not be NYC.

That said, you can count on getting back to NYC. It is the least desirable base, save for those who already live up there or have family to crash with.

There is an 18 month seat lock for equipment, so be willing to do what buttercup does if you get the 200. Upgrade or company needs can brake that seat lock.

There’s about to be a metric ton of 200 FOs whose seat locks expire that will move to the 900. Company must allow these fos to take the available spots before offering them to new hires and I suspect they will take these spots as upgrade is still a long ways away. Good chance you’ll end up in the 200. Must be a consideration if you are planning on MSP for your time as FO.

Yeah... what is it about 110 of them the next three months?

I could be wrong....it happens, but I believe the company can hand it all to new hires as they please. If there is no system bid out at the time the class is awarded....well then?

New hires can't be awarded slots unless they were unfilled in a system bid, if there are no unfilled slots remaining, the company has to publish another system bid, which gives new hire slots upon closing if there are unfilled positions.

What’s the junior 200 base? Is there a NYC 200 base as well? Thanks

Keep it simple, plan on NYC. It's always junior. Also, plan on never seeing MSP. Finally, never say never.
