900 to NYC
#3
That said, you can count on getting back to NYC. It is the least desirable base, save for those who already live up there or have family to crash with.
There is an 18 month seat lock for equipment, so be willing to do what buttercup does if you get the 200. Upgrade or company needs can brake that seat lock.

There’s about to be a metric ton of 200 FOs whose seat locks expire that will move to the 900. Company must allow these fos to take the available spots before offering them to new hires and I suspect they will take these spots as upgrade is still a long ways away. Good chance you’ll end up in the 200. Must be a consideration if you are planning on MSP for your time as FO.

New hires can't be awarded slots unless they were unfilled in a system bid, if there are no unfilled slots remaining, the company has to publish another system bid, which gives new hire slots upon closing if there are unfilled positions.
