Lines at EDV
Hello all, approaching my minimums while working at the airport for another regional. I have access to view the bids in our system, and wonder how they compare at 9E. Anyone care to share updated information on bid credit hours, pairings, trip mix, legs per day/trip, layover lengths, or anything related to bids on any equipment and base? Thanks.

Regarding days off, do the math: average block per day on the 900 is about 5:15. The credit may be higher due to DHs and such. 75/5:15 is 14-15 days of work. That means 15-17 days off “average” depending on the length of the month and can go up to 21 or as little as 13 because of seniority because the month is short or long. I’d say 16-17 off is a typical scheudle. 15-16 for fully commutable lines which are generally 3 5 day trips crediting 25 hours. seniority seniority seniority. Are you flying the mci turns or the syr turns? Most trips are 4 days. 900 out of all bases transits the entire system well. You may be doing turns out of every hub plus Boston/Cvg or Raleigh in a single trip. Because we have pbs you can arrange the schedule however you want as long as your seniority can hold it. Want 4 on 3 off with a full 9 consecutive days off, you can possibly hold that. Want 4 on 2 off 4 on 2 off 4 on 14 off, and then the reciprocal in the next month for 28 consecutive days off, you can probably do that too.
However, can you handle a commute to nyc and the crashpad situation? Or 12 days off only as a reserve? Also, most pilots today are going to the 200 which is not nearly as glamorous. They sometimes get the minimum number of days off which is 11 even as lineholders. Lots of 3-4 leg min credit days especially in ATL. Also, it remains to be seen how the 220 will impact our routes. Once the long flights are removed from our flying (NYC - MCI, RSW, DFW, RSW, ORD, etc) our days off may go down too.
