Average schedule?

What's you average schedule on Reserve and Line? How many days off are you all getting?

Death2Daleks 10-24-2019 05:39 AM

I've been here a year and a half. 16 days on the line, about 15 days off. Semi commutable trips.

This will depend on a lot of factors. Where your based, do you commute? If you do what's commutable to you? How long have you worked here? Etc. I've been here over 2 1/2 years based in ny with an easy commute that can get me in early and out late. Because of that I usually hold more days off than others around my seniority. When I was Jr it was usually 15-17. Now it's 17-19 as a senior line holder. Rarely ever have anything that isn't commutable even when I was Jr. But I got in during the last big wave and things moved quickly. My experience might not be your experience so take it with a grain of salt.

You get the contractual minimum days off.

Reserve is 12 off. Every month. That's min. Both seats. All fleets.

Line holder varies. But almost all line holders can have 15 days off min unless you want more credit. Depends on a ton though. Time of year for instance. January you might hold 18.

Okay thanks. Yeah I'm specifically looking at LGA. I'm within driving distance.

Man if you can live in base in NYC.... You'll be able to make some serious money with last minute open time pickups

You need that serious money to afford to live close to New York.

Average schedule = reserve
Reserve = 12 days off

Rearrange your 12 days all you want (if you crack the PBS cipher) still only 12 days.

I mean, if you're already living there with roommates, or if you're staying with family like a bunch of guys I know.... That's not a bad deal. But if you're planning on moving there it's probably a wash. The benefit would be being home for your 6-12 months on reserve.

I'm about done commuting to short call..... Killing me over here....
