I have good intel that says a new announcement regarding additional 900s is coming soon (not the 200s the OP alluded to). My contact also mentioned that DLCX is very interested in the smaller MRJ. Mitsubishi reps have been in ATL and MSP meeting with senior leadership. Contemplating a replacement for aging 900s in 3+ years. I definitely did not see that coming. |

Pardon if this brings up a touchy subject, but do you think 9E will merge the 200 and 900 flying? It seems to be more effecient to operate like PSA and Skywest and fly both. Its the same type rating

As a pilot who's job depends on staffing, I'm not for changing the status quo because "we don't want to cling to old ways." Our contract says line pilots can only be typed on one, if they want to renegotiate, cool. I think they've tried in the past and the union "wants too much" for the efficency that would grant the company. It's not about clinging to the old ways, it's about not giving up stuff just to give it up. |
