I think some people just figure might as well go somewhere that your appreciated . We fly Delta jets and Delta passengers and are paid by Delta and fly their passengers and don’t exist without them , but yet are looked down upon and not appreciated . Sooner or later Mother D will realize how valuable it will be to keep pilots at Endeavor and utilize them for “mainline” eventually , even though we are mainline anyway , LOL.
You aren't looked down upon as much as you imply, but that doesn't guarantee movement either. From what I recall, you were hired on with no flow existing, were gone during a short time one was around and now are entitled because you do the same thing SkyWest pilots do. Your logic doesn't have any more weight when used for SkyWest than 9E. I seriously hope the best for 9E crews and know a lot of good pilots got a bad hand, but entitlement like this is a good way to ensure a flow doesn't ever happen again. That's the kind of attitude that caused problems with the Compass one.

I just ran into a new DAL pilot in DTW. He recently came from Spirit, and said he liked Spirit a LOT better. He also said if he new the differences in work rules between DAL and Spirit, AND Spirit already had had the new contract, he never would have left for DAL.

Two things about that. One: we are just starting section 6 you gotta let us catch up in those areas before you start judging us. When we get through our bargaining itll be a more robust contract. Two: soft pay and work rules are easy to get used to and im guilty of it too. All my little tricks and bidding strategies get thrown out the window and it feels like im being robbed a little. That feeling doesnt last as you get used to the contract philosophy. Once he gets used to our schedule and our philosophy you change your brain a little and find reasons to be excited.

Maybe some people...but the fact is it is the #1 airline to fly for excluding personal factors like living in base. The one hope is the military pool continues to dry up combined with mass retirements and continued pilot “shortage.” Then, we will probably see DGI numbers improve.

I still bash posters on here who gave me the "ohhh the dgi will be more successful" because i made it and the numbers havent gone up.
I bash them because they made up reasons unfounded in any sort of logic of why delta was gonna treat them any different.
QUOTE=KSCessnaDriver;2948623]Sure isn't #1 for flying widebody jets... To say that it's the number 1 airline, flat out, is somewhat ignorant.[/QUOTE]
While we will never be #1 for flying widebody jets (because we are trying to make a profit) we're gonna do at least a little bit better than that in the future. It may not be 777's over here but im never embarrassed by the service.
