Default When does RDU Pilot base come online?

At my CFI/II flight class today, and was told by other classmates that Endeavor is opening RDU up as a Pilot base, to support it's Mechanic Base there......

Anyone got some intel?

Definitely not in 2020. Call back in a year for any news updates

I doubt it happens, more than 50% of our flights that depart RDU this month, go to NYC. For all intents and purposes, RDU is an outstation that can be served by the other hubs. CVG on the other hand, has a massive amount of O&D flying, with many aircraft RONing(remain overnights).

We opened a maintenance base here. That's probably where the confusion is. Mesabah is probably right. Seems unlikely we'll need one unless our flying picks up here dramatically, or hotels get prohibitively expensive for the dozens of crews we have there a night

Origin and destination, but it’s more commonly used in the context of passenger statistics. For example, if you book a ticket to or from MSP, then MSP is either your Origin or Destination, and you are considered an “O&D” pax for MSP. If you travel thru MSP as a connecting pax, you are not an MSP O&D.

I guess the point was that we do more CVG-outstation-CVG turns than RDU-outstation-RDU turns, though our destinations from RDU have picked up significantly of late.

Abbreviation for Origin and Destination, passengers starting or ending their trip there, i.e. not connecting. CVG has a massive amount of local traffic that is not commuting through to other hubs.
