This is how you get into planes that have the left and right pegs at varying heights, such as one being in the middle.

Exactly. I don’t get how you get into a plane and go “hm, I need to use a screwdriver to change something that’s clearly intended to be in one set position, for no discernible reason.”

And then they can’t figure out why the iPad bonks the window or the chart light

I don’t care if you’re team horizontal or team vertical, but leave the dang mount with the pegs at the bottom!

I don't think they're emailing people as they ship them. That's why they said if your signed up for FedEx home delivery notifications you'll know when it's coming. There were setup instructions emailed earlier this week to everyone I think. Check your company email.
