The entitlement clearly stated in Federal law is that if two airlines are merged and both fall under the same union that unions merger policy will be used. Allegheny-Mohawk only applies if non union or different unions. The governing rules actually fall under McCaskill-Bond.

By incorporating Sections 3 and 13 of the Allegheny-Mohawk LPPs, McCaskill-Bond establishes that it is the duty of the surviving or combined carrier to provide the fair and equitable seniority list integration process. The carrier can satisfy this duty by accepting a voluntarily negotiated or arbitrated list from the employee group parties. To the extent that the employee group parties do not voluntarily present such a list to the carrier, however, it is the carrier's duty to engage in arbitration with those groups as provided for in Section 13. If the covered transaction involves employee groups represented by the same union, the statute provides that the union's internal merger policies apply exclusively, with no carrier involvement, except as to whether it will accept and implement the result of the integration process (i.e., the combined seniority list). Likewise, any additional LPP or other merger-related requirements in a CBA that are consistent with the "protections afforded by" Sections 3 and 13 are not directly affected by the statute.

Or they just do what southwest did with ATA. Take the assets and leave the people.

not necessarily. A staple at our current rates and longevity with a 5 year fence would mean everyone stays at rates or better, and when the fence is up anyone left would still get a raise to change planes regardless of seat.

I'd take that deal plus 14%dc and healthcare.

Several years back, Delta asked Compass to take on additional aircraft, but Compass instead went with American. From that day on, Delta was no longer interested in Compass.

And what the hell does that have to do with anything? Does the fact that you served in the military automatically make you somehow better than pilots with tons more actual airline experience? I'd say no.

Flow down agreement tied to less scope....no-friggin way!
Agreed. Just bring us in house. If they want capacity, 140 CRJs on the Delta certificate seems like it would buy a lot of flexibility...

Not true, PM if you want to know how I know that. I’d be curious why you come this assumption...unless you’re privy to NDA agreements

Or just keep DCI up to max scope and add anything extra they need to Delta if needed. It’s unlikely to think they wouldn’t max out two class scope. If they want two class, E2 to mainline. Not what we want as pilots, but regionals are a cost saver, moving all that to mainline is pointless as long as they can fill classes at the regionals. If covid didn’t hit, well then we’re talking.

But that won't help them this summer. The crisis is between now and August, and there's no way they can get new planes delivered that fast that weren't already on order...

A staple doesn’t fix that either. You’re robbing Peter to pay Paul.
