Flow-Downs

This is a poll to see what your stance is for Delta pilots to have a flown down to Endeavor, in exchange for a flow up. What provisions would you want to see?

This is way to early for this thread. October is 3 lifetimes away.

No. No. No. Never . No. No.

I hope we can use this opportunity to educate those in favor of a flow. It seems there are a few pilots on property who think a flown down is a easy way to Delta. There are a number of flaws with this idea. How’s the flow working for the AA wholly owns currently? I’m guessing Delta won’t be hiring for 2.5-3 years minimum. So we allow Delta pilots to flow down, giving up our jobs to hopefully be at Delta in 5 years? What happens if we furlough come October? Is it too early to discuss this? No, it’s not. Reason being is 90% of 9E pilots will survive this (IMO) unless we agree to a flow down. Then all bets are off.

I get what you're saying... but none of the AA WOs have a flowback provision.

Flows are designed to keep classes at the regional full. The mainline Union has no say in the matter. Mainline Delta, other than being magnanimous, has no real interest in helping it’s pilots find a soft landing.

The Delta MEC can not possibly negotiate a 90% flow down to Skywest, RAH, or even here, and anything less is a scope concession on their part. I doubt we hear anything about a flow back. The cheapest solution is for mainline to operate those 35 jets.

Or just leave the 35 jets parked.

Yeah, that too, but I bet they convert them to 70 seaters.
