It's far too soon to talk about furloughs and downgrades. Endeavor has approximately 400 pilots age 50 and over.
No one knows the needs of any pilot and her family. Let's see what the company is prepared to offer in the way of Buyouts and Early Retirement packages before jumping to wild conclusions about downgrades etc.

So are we saying that we are going to throw a giant adult hissy fit if a downgraded CA shows up as an FO with 4 stripes on their jacket because they haven’t had the 4th stripe removed at the tailor yet?
What if they don’t get their jacket re-tailored because they just had their income slashed but they do wear three stripes on the shoulders? What level of fit would that produce?
With all of the 2020 going on this is what we are arguing about, amazing.

I think we have turned a new leaf...a few months ago we were arguing about corona and career progression, and hats, etc...
Actually if an FO shows up in my flight deck with 4 stripes and has the balls to explain the reasoning and is humble I would be able to accept and say lets go have fun, but most of the time the reason for wearing that extra stripe is the chip on shoulder mentality.

I missed the fun last time displacements came around, as I left the industry. I do remember an LOA that downgraded captains retained captain pay. Do any of you know if that LOA is still active and if it would apply to a the realignment bid we are more than likely to see in the coming weeks?
Fingers crossed for good news...

Oh yes this place is very entertaining......do you understand at all in the 121 world there is only one god damn captain per the FAA. Should we allow the FA to wear 4 stripes as well....hell if we are going down this idiotic road...should we allow the pax to get in on this also and wear 4 stripes.. get out of here with your snowflake embry riddle BS attitude.

It would probably go something along the lines of, "I had just taken a $40,000 pay cut. My family's budget was suddenly tight. As a pilot, I didn't need to bring any more stress factors into the flight deck. The company allowed four stripes for downgraded captains, so I made the decision to use that option."
