This is exactly what’s happening. No tin foil hat needed.

Is there talk of the 200 returning to NYC? I was under the belief NYC only had the 900 for the foreseeable future.

Could you imagine those schedules? Or maybe they would be better start and end times compared to the 900. Trips in cvg are pretty good...just those start and end times really hurt

Thanks for confirming. That's what I thought.

What is a displacement bid? Trying to understand what this means.

Kind of screwed; the only base I really don’t want to hold is CVG because it’d be a two-leg commute for me. That’s bad news.

And on that same note, what are the average start times for trips out of CVG and the rest?

A displacement is when they remove positions from a base which then gives those who have been kicked out of their base the right to kick other people out of their base if they have the seniority to do so. Which can cascade sending people all over the place. This is different than a vacancy. In a vacancy you can't kick someone out of their base. You can only take a spot in a vacancy if their is an opening or into a base that didn't have posted openings when someone leaves a base you want and you take their spot, which is called a secondary. Basically the company is putting people in cvg and then when a vacancy comes up people are very likely to bid out when a vacancy is posted. They know most people don't want to be in cvg so by putting them there those people are far more likely to bid out to a base they actually want to be in. As far as commute times that can vary but in cvg most trips seem to start around 6-8am and end around 10pm
