Desperation is the Rationale before Delta has to give us a Seniority number… We shall see what happen!

Quick question on that matter - what operators classify as 121? Are foreign operators eligible? I have 7000TT on wide and narrow-body jet but its all foreign. Would they still consider this for their Bonuses?
Also more generally, how is the general verdict when it comes to part 121 time. Is that more an umbrella term for airline experience, or is this strictly time flown for an actual US part 121 carrier?

Thanks for any insight.

Part 121 is a part of the United States Code of Federal Regulations, so I don’t think your foreign time would count. The reason for the experience bonus is them wanting people that will be able to upgrade quickly per 121.436 due to the shortage of CA eligible FO’s.

What about general hiring requirements when carriers ask for x amount of hours 121 time? Surely my time would count then wouldn’t it? Or how are guys leaving the Middle East after years as CPT joining UPS and the likes of none of the time counts?

Foreign flying that is not done under 14 CFR Part 121 is in no way Part 121 time. I believe UPS and other carriers usually require a certain amount of turbine time or turbine PIC which could be Part 91, 135 or foreign equivalent.

Endeavor is only offering the bonus to try to get quick Captains. Foreign time does not meet the upgrade requirements of 121.436, so unfortunately you’d be viewed the same as a starry eyed 1,500 CFI to them. With your experience you shouldn’t even be considering the regionals anyway.

I understand, but then based on what you’re saying that I’d be considered the same as a newbie with 1500hrs, the regionals would be my only shot, wouldn’t they? Or would other carriers consider my foreign 121 time equivalent for hiring purposes?

Your time would be considered for hiring purposes unless it specifically says “Part 121” which I’m not sure if any require that. Most carriers ask for turbine time or TPIC which you have.

We don’t require Prior 121 but in order to come with the Longevity/Captain time you have to have 1000 121 time from another 121 carrier, other wise not required. Still a new hire but If you meet the 121 requirements you get up to 10 years longevity/Captain pay when you upgrade.

When do we get the pay bump for previous time? Will it be retroactive to the LOA sign date?

What about the extra vacation days? Can we take those as personal days this year?
