Not really an open letter to Mgmt...it was a letter to the pilot group stating that he, along with EDV MEC Chair went to DL Mgmt to talk possible solutions.
If you got a buddy at mainline, have them look at the MEC Chair email dated 4 March for the full letter, but here is what he said about EDV and mainline:
"We again offered to engage on solutions that would better help solve the retention issue at Endeavor while bringing value to the Delta PWA rather than waste it on ineffective bonuses. Unfortunately, Delta management was not interested in engaging on possible solutions. Ultimately, the best way to ensure proper staffing for Delta’s regional flying is to bring those aircraft, and pilots, to the mainline."

I think Delta needs to be real careful here, and put this thing to bed early. Theyre about to FAFO all over again. I dont know if the present or future edv pilots give a ****, management might find out theyre the only ones that do.

In the real world the arbitrator has a pretty good idea what he/she is gonna do. Bloch did. Theyll find ways to massage the list to "adjust" for career expectations. Problem is, even if the senior guy falls on the 50% line instead of the 99.9% line you might see delta guys decertify and block the SLI like airways did. Fences forever.

They fended off cactus for ten years and during the american merger the arbitrator kept what airways pilots did to cactus. Cactus pilots got honked the hardest, airways got some, but cactus should have done much better if airways didnt push the nuke button.

They really didn’t, they had pilots furloughed back 17 years while America West was actively hiring, and Airways was weeks away from shutting down due to lack of cash after 2 consecutive failed bankruptcies. Furloughed pilots at the time of merger were stapled per ALPA merger policy. Airways pilots got a huge windfall with the top 300 or so slots on the list belonging to them to compensate for their international flying.

Your own CEO stated Endeavor intentionally takes on less flying than they can handle, then covers flying for another carrier if they can’t handle a few flights.
That’s like you running 2 laps in a Relay Race while everyone else runs 5 laps then bragging about “covering” for an extra lap. LOL
Sounds like you guys tried to compete with the big boys these past few months by running 5 laps. Sounds like it didn’t go well…. Raises a lot of questions whether you can actually be an efficient airline if you ask me.
Delta doesn’t need you, they NEED more A220’s to replace the 900 routes so you guys can replace your 200 routes with the 900.
