Standby Commuting
Today a 757 MSP-ATL left over 30 standby at the gate. This is getting to be fairly common lately.
With surging travel demand and a seniority list with about 20% or more that have never commuted standby to work, get your popcorn out and enjoy the show. I'm kinda curious what they are gonna do to them when they figure out they cannot hire enough people to support their operation because nobody wants to come here nor can they fire people who won't book an early flight and pay their own hotels because nobody will be here to fly the aircraft... not sure if even 300% will fix that. |

Single flight commuter policy. If that is too close for comfort, UTC. |

Also, 30 left behind MSP-ATL isn't just a post-Covid thing, especially when NYC ****s the bed. That's a two-leg commute if you want a surer bet. |
The point was that about 1 in 5 folks here have never known commuting to work without positive space, when they don’t show up, they cannot be summarily fired like it used to be unless of course the real goal is to actually shut 9e down. They already cannot get enough people to work here. I’m curious how the sh**show is gonna play out…that three digit November attrition number is gonna be fun.
