A staple ****es off only one pilot group, and a merger ****es off both groups. Staples go to bottom of seniority list and mergers are slotted in using a ratio determined usually by an arbitrator. They are not fun for anyone. Either method.

And why would Delta management want a staple? They can already hire those they want, resetting the clock on the seniority so they can start them down at ~$100k. Why would they want to give new hires an extra four-five years longevity for pay purposes when they can (re)hire them on standard first year pay?

Those early 20s guys at EDV aren’t going to be ****ed off that suddenly they’re on a mainline list overnight.

There is no program, it’s just both MECs endorsing the idea.

Question

Haven't they issued a similar statement multiple years in a row?

If they staple the list, who is going to be on top, the Delta pilots or the Endeavor pilots?

It’s for unity purposes, but I’d appreciate it if DALPA didn’t encourage the idea of 1,xxx 9e pilots leapfrogging me on the seniority list.

What a f*cking joke.

The agreement is a staple, if you’re at delta, that’s 1,xxx pilots junior to you immediately. If you’re not at Delta, your opinion is irrelevant.

My opinion is relevant. You have zero guarantee it would be a staple. I’m aware of the staple, but you have no guarantee that will be the final result.
