I've heard of no one pushing for a SLI, on either side. It's a fake issue.
What does need to be fixed, for everyone's benefit, is the "regional" feed to mainline that's disappearing. Worse, it's reappearing at our competitors, in the form of poached pilots and more of their airplanes flying.
Nearly every 9E FO is sending out, or about to send their apps out as they gain more 121 time. A 1,000 hour FO leaving to a competitor is a monumental waste of Company resources. The largest and most effective incentive to encourage them to stay is make them Delta, day one.
There's your new MEC Slogan: Delta, Day One.

Also it’s worth pointing out that there’s probably 1000, if not more, pilots on the Delta seniority list that came from 9E or its predecessors. They’re the last group of people who would let a seniority leap frog to happen.

If it ever happened it can’t be a staple but at the same time how could 1600 Endeavor pilots leapfrog over you if it were some type of merge? There are 15,000 Delta pilots . 1600 Endeavor folks being merged in would hardly make a difference in any current Delta pilots life cause they would be bringing all the RJ9 aircraft over with the pilots . Unless current Delta pilots would bid to fly the RJ it would be status quo and over time pilots would bid something different that they could hold . I’m not sure how it would work with 10 to 30 year 9E pilots as far as seniority credit . I know the Union said Delta simply couldn’t afford to just bring the RJ’s over and “dump” all the pilots cause they can’t even staff what they got . That would be a waste of time .

A “merged” list does not mean date of hire. NWA, Pan Am, Western….none of those pilots got date of hire. They were all pretty much relative position.
