Why I would not work at Endeavor...

Let's see how long this can go....

Starting FO Pay 25.03 X 75 HOURS Guarantee = $1877.25

Union Dues= $35.66

Fed Tax= $301.97

Soc & Medicare = $143.60

Medical Insurance for married couple without children = $92.00

Per Diem= + $100.00

Total Monthly Net = 1404.02

Bi Weekly Pay Check = $702.01

To equate this to a normal 9-5 worker working 40 hours a week with about 173.3 hours a month. You Could find a job for about $14.00 an hour and make more!

$351 bucks a week sure says responsibility!

You don't pay dues your first year.

You dont pay union dues your first year..........and first yr pay at about nearly every regional is an insult.

But you don't have to pay union dues the first year see, checkmate.

Edit, too slow.

To prospective Endeavor Air pilots this thread is useless. If Endeavor Air offers you a job it means Delta wants you. There will be a bunch of people who will say this is fiction but time will prove the validity of this statement. Delta wants Endeavor Air to work and pilots coming to Endeavor will facilitate this goal. At the end of the day read online posts with a healthy dose of sceptisism, including this one. Trust what makes sense to you and ignore anecdotal advise brimming with emotion.

Where can I get some of that koolaid?

They give you money for recruiting guys?

Perhaps you've missed the confirmation that any hope of an actual flow through has been shot down Mr. Vilcas

Aside from the Union dues which several have pointed out:

I'm pretty sure that not everyone who goes to work for Endeavor is married, therefore not everyone will be paying for insurance for a couple.

To only get $100 a month in per diem means you're only away from base for 59 hours. Pretty sure even on reserve you'd be gone more than that, especially if they're as short staffed on FOs as everyone says.

At some point you will be making more than guarantee. I don't know when that is, but at some point it will happen.

So, while your assertion that 1st year regional pay sucks (and I'm not disputing that) you could at least be a little more realistic. Whether or not you should go to work at Endeavor is a whole other question.

Oh my.

"If Endeavor Air offers you a job it means Delta wants you."

I think you meant to say that "if Endeavor Air offers you a job it means Delta wants you to work for nothing."

Just like every other mainline carrier in the country.
